Through several efforts, Xcaret Park promotes and preserves Mexican culture. Several traditions of Mexico have been enlisted as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization declares as intangible heritage the diversity of regional cultural expressions that have been inherited from ancestors and endure until present day. It includes festivities, rituals, and oral traditions, among other expressions.

Mexico is one of the countries with most cultural heritage in the world. At Xcaret Park, you can enjoy some of these intangible elements of Mexican folklore.

For over a decade, every year, Xcaret’s Festival of Life and Death has been paying tribute to the Day of the Dead celebration, a tradition which takes place from October 30 to November 2nd. Also, don’t miss the ritual ceremony of the Dance of the Flyers witness impressive charrería moves at the horse exhibition; or taste some traditional Mexican dishes at any of Xcaret’s restaurants or special events.
