Chacahs’ Garden

Walk a place where celebrities have immortalized their visit

Included in your admission

Inside Xel-Há Park, there is a special place where various famous people have left their mark. Chacahs’ Garden is a unique area where we had several guests invited to plant one of these typical trees of the Yucatan Peninsula, besides leaving us a thought engraved on a stone at the foot of its Chacah.

This tree species contain an ancient tale that tells the story of two warrior princes. Kinich was of a gentle and caring nature, while Tizic was jealous and held resentment in his heart. Both fell in love with Nicte-Há and had a duel to win her hand, ending in dire consequences when the brothers died at the hands of the other

After death, they both asked the gods for the opportunity to return to this plane and see Nicte-Há again. Tizic was reborn in the Chechén tree, which secretes a poisonous sap that burns those who come to take the shade. Kinich was reborn in the Chacah tree that relieves the poison of the Chechén. The story continues with Nicte-Há dying of sadness but being reborn as a white flower protected by both trees.
