  • Your ferry ticket is valid for 6 months from the chosen date, in case you need to make a change.
  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
  • We ask you to follow all the indications of the crew, for your safety and that of your loved ones.
  • In case of bad weather, the authorities, through the Port Captain's Office, will indicate if safe navigation is possible.
  • To access the Scenic Tower, you must present your ticket to the Ferry. It is valid up to 7 days after the date of visit.

About Cozumel

Head to the Maritime Terminal located on Calle 1ra. Sur and Zona Federal Marítima Terrestre. From there, ferries depart every hour with a crossing time of about 45 minutes. You can reach the terminal by private car, taxi, or public transportation. We recommend you to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure; if you have checked luggage, it’s best to arrive earlier.
The one-way ticket price is 16 USD for adults and 12 USD for children aged 5 to 11. The round trip is 32 USD for adults and 24 USD for children. Children under 5 can travel for free, and discounts are available for Quintana Roo residents and senior citizens with an INAPAM card.
The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Departures from Playa del Carmen start at 8:30 am, and from Cozumel at 7:30 am, with hourly departures throughout the day.
You can purchase them on Xcaret’s official website or directly at the Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal. The vessels feature WiFi, open-air and air-conditioned areas, luggage storage sections, pet-friendly spaces, and hourly departures.
It’s recommended to spend at least two days: one to explore the downtown area, its museums, and viewpoints, and another to enjoy its natural parks, go snorkeling or diving, and relax on its most famous beaches.
