Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

At Xcaret Park every day there are efforts to promote and preserve Mexican culture. Several traditions of Mexico have been enlisted as Intangible Cultural Heritages of Humanity by UNESCO.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization indicates as an intangible heritage the diversity of cultural expressions within a region that has been inherited from ancestors and endures until present day. It includes festivities, rituals, and oral traditions, among other expressions.
