The latinos celebrate the Hispanic Heritage month in October, since Christopher Columbus arrive to the Americas for the first time on October 12th, 1492. The mixture of both cultures is present in our mother language, whether is Spanish or Portuguese, our food recipes, and many traditions.
Although there is some debate about our Hispanic Heritage, there is a strong influence on both worlds in today’s culture. From Europe we have our most spoken languages (Spanish and Portuguese) in Latin America, but also many traditions and our gastronomy combines ingredients such as wheat, pork, pepper, garlic, and many more that comes from Europe with others that are from the Americas like corn, potato, tomato, and many more.
