Last December, Poloc the tapir, arrived to the park.

He is a 12 year old male donated to Xcaret by te Miami Metrozoo.

With his arrival, the conservation and reproduction plan of this species begun in Mexico in coordination with Guadalajara’s Zoo and the Zoomat in Chiapas.

Poloc was born in captivity and we hope he reproduces in XCARET.
