Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

Xcaret Park is characterized by a constant effort in promoting and preserving the culture of Mexico. For this reason we are proud to present, in our shows and activities, a list of Mexican traditions considered Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.

According to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, the term intangible heritage refers to all those transmitted expressions which give a sense of identity and promote respect for cultural diversity.

Mexico has several registered cultural expressions on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, and some of them can be seen Xcaret Park: the celebration of the Day of the Dead, the Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores (flying men), the traditional singing Pirekua, traditional Mexican cuisine and the famous Mexican Mariachi, string music, song and trumpet.

Admire these magnificent traditions accompanied by music and dance in the presentation "Xcaret Mexico Espectacular", or as you savor our delicious Mexican food, attend the Festival of Life and Death Traditions held in honor of the Day of the Dead in Mexico. Enjoy the Mexican culture at Xcaret Park!
