The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization indicates as an intangible heritage the diversity of cultural expressions within a region that has been inherited from ancestors and endures until present day. It includes festivities, rituals, and oral traditions, among other expressions.

Since more than a decade, every year the Day of the Dead celebration has a tribute at the Festival of Life and Death Traditions which takes place in from October 30 to November 2nd. Attend the Ritual Ceremony of the Voladores (flying men), witness some of the impressive moves of the Charreria at the horse exhibition, or taste some of the dishes of traditional Mexican gastronomy in one of Xcaret’s restaurants or special events.
