One of the best things about Xcaret is that there is always something going on. Regardless of the time of the year you go there, every visit has the potential to be a unique and different experience. If you are lucky enough to be here in April, you will have the opportunity to attend some of the events organized around Earth Month. These will show you the diversity and beauty of the different gifts that Planet Earth has given us.

During the entire month you will be able to admire The Corn Cycle a Photo Exhibit with compelling images that will show you the importance of this plant for the culture, cuisine and history of Mexicans. With the same theme, from April 21 till the 24th there will be an exhibition of tortillas accompanied by a tasting of regional food.

Images of our Environment is a series of filmed images about our beautiful planet that will be shown throughout the month.

Medicinal plants are an important part of the gifts the planet has given us. Even though most modern antibiotics are lab- made, the original active principles come from plants. From April 1st to April 3rd there will be a practical healing service of traditional Maya medicine, along with an exhibition of medical samples like tints, syrups and ointments. You will also find some potted medicinal plants.

Children are the future of the planet, and Xcaret has prepared a play especially for them. The Queen of Never Land is an interesting story that stimulates imagination with the clever use of shadows. It will be staged on April 26 and 27.

Other activities that will be going on during the entire month are Songs for the Earth, Dances for the Earth and the guided tour Treasures of the Jungle.
