| Quality Certification on Food Handling |

If you are a demanding consumer, you will surely want to know that the restaurants at Xcaret have received this year an important quality certification on food handling: the coveted Distintivo “H” Award.
The search for this recognition began over 4 years ago, under the leadership of Antonio Sánchez, Food and Beverage Manager, and Chef Denis Radoux. Obtaining this distinction implies compliance with 92 standards, divided into categories such as: personal hygiene, food handling, equipment and utensil cleanliness, cleanliness and condition of the facilities. In this process, the park carried out several modifications and remodeling of the kitchen facilities in restaurants, snack bars, ice cream shops and bars. In addition, courses and conferences were provided on garbage and chemical substance disposal, food preparation, etc.

Finally, with the hard work of all collaborators and the appropriate leadership of management, Xcaret Park attained the certification with an exceptional performance.
The Distintivo “H” came about in 1988 as a strategy designed to improve the quality of tourism services in regards to food hygiene in our country. This is a recognition awarded by the Tourism Bureau and the Health Department to those food and beverage establishments for complying with the hygiene standards set by Mexican Laws. In addition, this program is entirely preventative, ensuring the prevention of contamination which could cause illnesses transmitted in food.
With this achievement, Xcaret Park contributes to improving health, contributing to the currency and the production of food and beverages, providing a platform to elevate the quality of our food. But, most importantly, this allows us to take care of our visitors, in appreciation for their invaluable preference.
