Conservation and Diffusion of Mexican Traditions

Since 2004, Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México, A.C., has established an alliance with the Museum "La Casa del Arte Popular Mexicano" of Cancún, in order to carry out activities geared to promote our Folk Art among the new generations in our region.

Founded in 2001 and unique in its category, "La Casa del Arte Popular Mexicano" is a museum with an unmatched collection of folk art from all regions of our country.

Facing the lack of opportunities for this region's population to be in touch with our cultural traditions, the museum offers the chance of learning about the life of our communities through folk art, allowing the population from different areas in our country to reconnect to its roots.

In 2003 the museum began a school tour program, starting with private schools and since 2004, it includes all public schools in Cancun.

Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México, A.C., has joined this effort and currently contributes with the transportation of students and the program's logistics, which has allowed thousands of boys and girls from the region's public and private schools at all levels, to visit the Museum.
