The open jaws that lead to Xibalbá, the world of the dead, open when the contenders arrive to face each other.  The rhythmic precision of their movements tell us a part of the story from the Popol Vuh.

The titanic twin warriors, Ixbalanqué and Hunah'pú, warned by their mother, are ready to defend the balance of life and face the beings of darkness, the Lords of Xibalbá.
