Transportation

All of our “Tour” packages include round transportation to Xcaret park. If you buy a Tour package with us, we will send you your Pick Up schedule by e-mail to the address you provide when you buy your on-line tickets.

You have the option of returning to your hotel before the “Xcaret México Espectacular” celebration at night in the Playa del Carmen/Playacar or Riviera Maya Excursions at 5:30pm. (winter) or 6:30pm (summer) or after the performance at 8:30pm(winter) or 9:30pm (summer). For the Cancun excursion you only have this last option for your return.

From Cancun
The pick up point will be at the Xcaret Information Center in Cancun, located on Blvd. Kukulcan Km. 9.5 in the Cancun Hotel Zone right next to the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Hotel, in front of Plaza Caracol shopping center. Daily departures at 8:30am.

From Playa del Carmen
Pick your hotel from the Xcaret On-line Reservations System hotel list. The Xcaret Bus station in Playa del Carmen is located next to the Ferry dock exit in Playa del Carmen (next to Sr. Frog’s Restaurant). Daily departures at 9:00am.

From the Riviera Maya
Pick your hotel from the Xcaret On-line Reservations System hotel list. If your hotel doesn’t appear on the list, we recommend you put down “Basic Admission”. It’s really easy to catch a taxi from anywhere in the Riviera Maya.

OTHER WAYS TO GET TO XCARET

From Cancun
You can rent a car and easily drive to Xcaret.
You can also take a taxi from your hotel in Cancun to the downtown bus station (approx. US $8.00 one way) or public transportation ($6.00 pesos per person).
Public buses are available in the Bus Terminal (downtown) and cost about US $3.00 per person. Playa Express or Mayab bus lines leave every 30 minutes from 5:00am to 8:00pm and the bus will leave you on the highway—about ½ mile from Xcaret’s main gate, there you can take our little bus called the “Despeinado” to the Park’s main gate. The bus leaves every 30 minutes from 8:30am to 10:00pm. This service is free.

From Playa del Carmen
You can take a taxi from Playa del Carmen to Xcaret at a cost of about US $15.00 for the 15-minute ride.
If you rent a car in Playa del Carmen you can enter and leave the park as many times as you want on the same day of your visit.
Or you can take public transportation from Playa del Carmen: Autobuses Riviera Bus Line departs at 9:30am and 10:20am only. Rates: US $5.00 per person round trip, and it returns at 3:15pm and 8:45pm only. Arrival and departure at Xcaret’s main gate. Autobuses Maya Bus Line leaves every hour from 4:00am to 10:00pm. Rate per person: US $3.00. These buses will leave you on the highway, one-half mile from Xcaret’s main gate. A small bus called the “Despeinado” provides shuttle service from the highway to the main gate. It leaves every 30 minutes from 8:30am to 10:00pm. Service is free.
