ENJOY THE TRADITIONAL POSADAS AT XCARET

Join to a magic and warm celebration in the Mexican Caribbean. This year, Xcaret relives the Mexican tradition of Posadas from December 16th to 24th at 16:00.

During this celebration we invite to all our visitors to join to this remembrance of Mary and Joseph’s pilgrimage from Nazareth to Belen, looking for a place where to wait the birth of Jesus. That’s how Xcaret contributes to rescue, preserve and disseminate one of the most deeply rooted Mexican traditions about Christmas.

We meet at the Papantla Flying Men’s pole at 16:00, and walk to the Main Plaza. While walking, we can enjoy traditional hymns and sings from the Xcaret Singers, and the performance of the Folk Ballet of Mexico “Aztlan”, and the Village Band “Mixcatlan”, the rhythm of the “Tamborileros”.

At the end of the pilgrimage we break the Piñata filled whit candies and peanuts while singing “Dale, dale, dale, no pierdas el tino…”. Music from the North of Mexico delights ours visitors along this celebration.

Come and enjoy our very charming Christmas traditions at Xcaret!
