Tips for Visitors: Cancun Tips at Xcaret

Cancun tips #1. When you visit Cancun, you should plan your stay so you will be able to enjoy all the attractions Cancun has to offer you, including your visit to Xcaret.

Cancun tips #2. If you’re staying in Cancun for a few days, you should consider Xcaret’s two day pass, which allows you to return to the park for half the price any day within the next week of your first visit.

Cancun tips #3. One of our most important tips for you is that, once in the Park, you should take a few minutes to plan your day; some attractions have scheduled times. The Park’s staff will be happy to help you with any additional tips and information you might need.

Cancun tips #4. You may pay for anything in the park, as in most places in Cancun, using your American Express, MasterCard or VISA credit cards. For your convenience, we also have an ATM machine in the Main Plaza.

Cancun tips #5. Your bracelet is your ticket into the Park and will allow you to leave and re-enter the Park if you need to. You must wear it during your whole visit.

Cancun tips #6. We recommend you to agree with your party on a place to meet in case you split. If this happens, you can go to our information booths and leave a message for your companions.

Cancun tips #7. Some activities might be suspended due to bad weather conditions in the Cancun region. We thank you for your understanding.

Cancun tips #8. It’s a good idea to bring comfortable shoes, a bathing suit, change of clothes, a towel and a camera when you visit the Park.

Cancun tips #9. In consideration of our non-smoking visitors, we ask you not to smoke in bathrooms, shops, during the ball game or at the theater.

Cancun tips #10. Help us keep our Cancun and Riviera Maya’s beautiful landscape and environment by throwing trash in the trash bins distributed throughout the Park.

Cancun tips #11. Avoid feeding the animals. Each one of the species that live in Xcaret has a special diet, very different from ours.

Cancun tips #12. At Xcaret we all work to offer you a safe and pleasant experience. Please help us by showing courtesy and respect for other visitors and park employees. We also urge you to obey all safety measures indicated on signs.

Cancun tips #13. Due to the nature of the park, the Company is not responsible for accidents or incidents arising within its limits or on its Maritime-Land Zone (beach and waterways).

Cancun tips #14. We ask you not to bring any food or beverages, balls, radios or sound devices, coolers, suntan lotions or sunblocks into the Park; they are all potentially harmful for all marine flora and fauna around the Cancun area. Please leave these items with our park staff upon arrival and pick them up when leaving.

Cancun tips #15. In the case of sunblocks, the only ones permitted are the 100% biodegradable, in order to take care of our Cancun area environment. If you don’t have a 100% biodegradable sunblock, we will offer you a small courtesy sample when you enter the park.
