
In our Mushroom Farm you will learn the process of cultivation of the mushrooms of the genus Pleurotus, a delicious edible mushroom.
Pleurotus is a genus of gilled mushrooms which includes one of the most widely eaten mushrooms, the oyster mushroom. The speed of growth of mushrooms is simply spectacular, in a tropical mushroom it can reach up to 5mm per minute.
The farm objective is to share the simple technology of regional mushroom cultivation with the rural communities of the region, which only requires a compost of wheat or barley and dry leaves. This can be very beneficial to these communities since mushrooms are highly nutritive.
