Flora, Fauna y Cultura de Mexico, A.C.

What is Flora, Fauna y Cultura de Mexico, A.C.?
We are a non-profit organization founded with the firm purpose of developing and providing a strong support to projects that link different social groups through programs for the conservation, protection and rescue of our natural and cultural patrimony.
Why is this work important?
The great tourism boom seen by the state of Quintana Roo in the last decades has caused a dramatic and accelerated urban growth without an adequate planning. This has made difficult the maintenance of  a balance between the development of tourism and cultural, environmental and social welfare. Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México, A.C. (FFCM) works in favor of this cause.

In order to achieve this mission, FFCM is working through the following programs:

Protection and Conservation of Marine Turtles - Marine turtles are an endangered species. It has been estimated that for every 1,000 turtles born, only one will reach the adult stage.

Marine Turtle Protection and Conservation Programs - More than 100 volunteers participate in our activities. Join our effort and become part of the experience of protecting our natural resources.

Community Parks Program - Because of the accelerated development in the tourist areas in the state of Quintana Roo, it has not been possible to promote adequate urban planning.

Diffusion of our Cultural Traditions - Since 2004, Flora, Fauna y Cultura de México, A.C., has established an alliance with the Museum "La Casa del Arte Popular Mexicano" of Cancún, in order to carry out activities of promotion of our Folk Art among the new generations.

To the main donors of our FFCM Conservation Programs, thank you!
