DESCRIPTION: Come and enjoy Xcaret Sharks! Interactive Adventure, an activity that will let you learn, pet, feed and swim with our peaceful sharks.

Your interaction with sharks starts on a platform, where you will have direct contact with the sharks. Highly qualified coaches will explain you the physiology, reproduction and hunting habits of sharks. You can touch and take photos you can purchase to have a memory of this great adventure at Xcaret. You can also snorkeling near them, always with the supervision of coaches.

The nurse shark (Gynglimostoma cirratum) is a species inhabiting deep waters of tropical and subtropical parts of the Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean and East Coast of the Pacific. Its existence dates back to before the era of the dinosaurs, are ovoviviparous and can reach four meters in length.

Xcaret has trained four nurse sharks to interact with our visitors. It is an exciting and unique experience that brings us closer to the lives of these unique marine creatures.
