CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

Today’s World conditions, marked by social inequality, environmental damage and the weak participation of citizens; demand the proactive action of corporations, linked by social and environmental causes, with the aim of contributing to the solving of domestic and global problems.

Xcaret park is a unique company, which not only generates profit; but also builds emotions and realities. That’s why sustainability is considered an important issue in all of Xcaret park’s actions. Since its opening in 1990, Xcaret park has carried out Corporate Social Responsibility tasks based on our understanding of what is good for our community, culture and environment. Every year since 2003, Xcaret park has received the CSR award given by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI). Xcaret park is also one of the first Mexican companies that signed the United Nations Global Compact in 2005. All these years have made Xcaret park understand and respond to the wide interests of our co-workers, investors, visitors, suppliers, the government, the academy and nature.

With the purpose of being transparent and to clearly communicate our CSR actions; starting in 2008 Xcaret park will publish every year its Social, Environmental and Cultural Report; making Xcaret park one of the first companies in the state of Quintana Roo to do it. This report presents the results of the measurement of Xcaret park social, environmental and cultural indicators to all the company’s stakeholders.

By communicating our CRS actions, Xcaret park wishes to begin a permanent dialog with all the members of society; and in this way invite them to walk with us along the noble and wonderful path of sustainability.
